Dementia Workshop Third Tuesday of each month

Dementia is a decline in mental ability severe enough to interfere with daily life. Alzheimer's is the most common type, but there are others such as vascular, frontal temporal, Lewy Body, Parkinson's, etc. Learn what it means to have dementia, how to make the best choices in caring for your loved one, and how to care for yourself as a caregiver. Learn the legal, financial, medical, care options and resources that are available. FREE Workshops covering these topics are offered by Mark Croft (www.markcroft.com) at the Freedom Branch of Marion County Library 5870 SW 95th St, Ocala, FL 34476 on the Third Tuesday of each month 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM. Pre Registration is necessary and easily done by calling mark at 352-861-8788.

Stroke Club of Marion County
Sponsored by the Munroe Regional Neuroscience Center

Support group for patients - or families and friends of patients - who have had a stroke. No dues or fees. The group meets the second Monday of each month from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Munroe Regional's Auxiliary Conference Center- located at 1542 S.W. 1st Avenue, Ocala, FL 34471. The Stroke Club also offers an Aphasia support group. This group meets each Monday from 12 p.m. - 1p.m. at Munroe Regional's LifeTime Center- located at 1100 SW 1st Ave. Ocala, FL. For more information, please email AMYHURT@MRHS.ORG.
