Internet Monitoring / Surveillance - What it is.
The video picture that is produced by the cameras we install may be seen over the Internet from anywhere at anytime by you and all those you authorize. These cameras allow you to monitor
* your aging parent who lives alone,
* your baby in the crib,
* your employees at the office,
* your clerk making change at the cash register,
* the workmen in the warehouse,
* multiple rooms in your home,
* your livestock in the barn,
* your pets in the pin
* or any other person, place, or thing that you wish.
This service can be obtained with a modest budget and in a timely manner.

Internet Monitoring / Surveillance - How It Works.
A video camera, [analog, IP network camera, or webcam] captures an image. The camera components or an accessory to the camera converts that image into an electronic signal that can be transmitted to other electronic equipment. Monitors, computers and TV's that have the proper protocols and formatting capabilities convert that signal back into an image that is displayed.

Internet Monitoring / Surveillance - The Hardware
The video picture that is produced by the cameras we install may be seen over the Internet from anywhere at anytime by you and all those you authorize. These cameras allow you to monitor your aging parent who lives alone, your baby in the crib, your employees at the office, your clerk making change at the cash register, the workmen in the warehouse, multiple rooms in your home, your livestock in the barn, your pets in the pin or any other person, place, or thing that you wish to monitor. This service can be obtained with a modest budget and very little interruption or disturbance.

With the camera installed the continuos images stream over the Internet where they are viewed on one or more PC's simultaneous by yourself or those you authorize. The image stream may be captured, saved and even reproduced. Those with proper authority make changes to the cameras, DVR, Sever and other devices.

For video streaming three terms related to cameras are common: Analog Camera, Digital Camera, and Webcams.

Analog cameras are ideal for many applications because of their established technology, simple cabling, and low cost. Analog cameras have been used for many years and generate acceptable image levels for many applications. They do not have as clear an image as IP cameras however the analog camera used with a DVR can prove to be very acceptable in most application as well as create a substantial cost savings.

Digital video camera / IP / Network Cameras are the camera of the future and is more likely to integrate with future developments in the electronic world. Because the sever component is built into the camera there is less hardware and if you only need one camera and no recording features an IP camera is probably the way to go. If you needed four cameras and a recording device the hardware for an analog system could cost as little as $600. The same thing using IP Digital cameras would likely be twice to three times as much.

Security camera system, time lapse security recorder, spy security cameras, nanny cam, monitors, cctv accessories, DVR, IP Cameras are all available to our clients. We match cameras, equipment and service to the clients need. Some clients need all features available while others need the bare-bones. We are here to serve not to push a particular product line or type. Some people need the upscale highest quality equipment while other functions can be accomplished very well with lower priced equipment. Some companies tout that they only used the highest quality products. Why pay 50 dollars for a paintbrush that will be discarted after painting a mail box. A $2.99 brush will do just fine. The right product for the job at a fair value is what we provide our customers.

A Digital Recording Device (DVR) is used to capture and store one or more image stream. This recording may be viewed on the Internet or on a video monitor / TV that is connected directly to the DVR. These recording may be overwritten or saved as circumstances warrant. The DVR often has a built in IP video server which converts the cameras image to a digital signal.

An IP video server converts analog video signals into IP video streams. The IP video server can stream digitized video over IP networks in the same way that an IP Camera can. Because an IP Video server uses IP protocols, it can stream video over any network that IP can use including, via a modem for access, over a phone or ISDN connection. With the use of a video server attached to an analog camera, the video from an existing surveillance system can be converted and networked into a new IP surveillance system.

Internet Monitoring / Surveillance - The Software
Internet Browser -
Not all software is compatible with one another. We have found that MS IE seems to work well with most all the elements of these systems and FoxFire works with some but not all.

Many of the hardware companies have proprietary software that must be used with their equipment. Generally that does not pose a problem. Overall they are similar in appearance and function.

The software typically has an interface displays that can be configured to display one or more cameras. This is a typical 4 camera display. Click on the image to see an the full size display.

The administration interface software also allows you to configure the equipment, modify the defaults and assign users various options. User options vary from total control to only being able to view one camera's display. Click to view the opening window. A training manual is included and you have the option of having CC Netcams manage the equipment for you or having CC Netcams train you to use it or a combination of the two.

FPS= Frames Per Second * MB= Megabytes * GB= Gigabyte * TB= Terabyte

Bandwidth= Connection Bandwidth / The amount of data that can be transmitted in a fixed amount of time. For digital devices, the bandwidth is usually expressed in bits per second(bps) or bytes per second. For analog devices, the bandwidth is expressed in cycles per second, or Hertz (Hz).

There are 1,024 kb's in one mb, and 1,024 mb's in a gig, and 1,024 gigs in a terabyte. A terabyte is roughly the equivalent of the contents of books made from 50,000 trees. The books in the U.S. Library of Congress contain a total of approximately 20 terabytes of text. A typical video store may contain about eight terabytes of video data.
