Is your dad a handyman? How about getting him one or more old handy man type magazines from when he was a younger fellow. 1949 to 1956. OR Buy it for yourself and enjoy.

These are all in rally good shape. The Family Handyman November 1954 is missing the front cover. All others have no tares or markings, just a little ware from being read over for 40 plus years.

If you have an interest in seeing how far we have come as well as seeing that in some ways we haven’t come far at all then you would be interested in these magazines. The articles as well as the advertisements are a real flash back. If your dad is a “handyman” these would make a nice unique Christmas gift.

I have enjoyed looking at them over the years and just going through them again now to get the project listings refreshes my fondness of them. It is hard to believe that The Homecraft 1949 will soon be 50 years old. It is interesting to see Dremel advertisements from 48 years ago and to be reminded by a picture of an old fountain pen that there was no ball point pen in those days. The advertisement for the "NEW GIANT 16" Picture Tube" offered by Midwest Radio and Television Company for 1950 is really something to see. It serves to remind us that what we think is hot new technology like MMX or Web TV will some day be viewed as quaint.

As far as price goes I haven't taken the time to track down a collectors value list. I have just been taking bids and figure on selling them to the highest bidder. I would welcome your bid fir one or all.
